Custom Cabinets in Kansas City

Graduated from Lawson High School in 1987. Danny joined his brother Dean in 1986 to start Miller’s Custom Cabinets. Danny worked with Dean to grow the business over the next 15 years. He took over as President when Dean left the company, and he later started Signature Solid Surfaces and Miller Associates. He has spent his entire adult life managing the Miller Companies. Danny is also an avid Team Roper and has competed nationally and won two national championships.

Graduated from Lawson High School in 1990. Kenny spent a year at college and then came home to join his brothers at Miller’s Custom Cabinets. He has worked side by side with both his brothers at first, then later with Danny to manage Miller’s Custom Cabinets and Signature Solid Surfaces. Kenny’s main responsibilities remain in sales, as he has a great deal of experience in design and customers love working with him. In addition to being a husband and a proud father of two, Kenny is also an avid dirt bike rider and Motocross competitor and has won several competitions over the years.  He enjoys an active lifestyle that also includes Jeeping, mountain biking, skiing, and kayaking, among others.

Graduated from Lawson High School in 1990. Michelle began working at Miller’s Custom Cabinets in 1991 as a receptionist. She has also worked in the shop and installed hardware on cabinets. Michelle soon became an integral part of Miller’s Custom Cabinets while it was still in its early stages. Over the years she has been one of the “cornerstones” that Miller’s is built on. She has been an adviser, counselor, administrator, and the one in charge of keeping Danny Miller in line. For the last several years, she has served as office manager, business adviser, and head of accounting. Outside of work Michelle’s focus has been on her family, including raising two daughters who are now in college. She loves taking care of her home (especially her yard), trips to the mountains, and exploring the American West.

Graduated from Excelsior High School in 1999. C.J. was hired by Danny Miller and started in the shop at the age of 19 and worked his way through several departments and later installed cabinets. C.J. was promoted to shop foreman at the age of 27 and was later brought into the office to take over some of the scheduling and shop management responsibilities that Danny and Kenny were struggling to keep up with. C.J. has always exceeded whatever expectations were placed on him. Over the last several years, the Miller brothers have continued to turn almost all aspects of production, scheduling, and installations over to C.J.. C.J., like Dana, plays a large role in business decisions. He is respected by people he works for as well as the people he manages. C.J. has a lot of hobbies outside of work and is an avid hunter and shooter, rides dirt bikes, street bikes, and does some farming with his uncle.

Graduated from Kearney High School in 1992.  Dana grew up in construction, and his entire family worked in the industry. He worked as a building superintendent for a large residential builder in Liberty, MO, then later started a construction company with his family. Danny and Kenny talked Dana into coming to work in sales for them in 2002. With his background he came in and quickly learned to become an important part of the team. Dana continues to do sales and handles a lot of our builder accounts and is an important voice in major business decisions. He is a vital part of the Miller family. Dana’s interests outside of work include competitive bass fishing, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and off-road Jeeps, to name a few.

Went to High School with Danny in Lawson, graduating in 1986. David went to work for Smithville Cabinet Company right out of high school where he worked for 4 years. After leaving Smithville Cabinets, Dave started his own cabinet shop which he owned and ran for several years. In 2010 Danny talked David into coming to work at Miller’s. He installed cabinets for the first 4 years, then moved into sales and took over management of the install, hardware, and service crews. David still lives in Lawson, is married to his wife, Tami, and has 3 boys. His hobbies include fly fishing, skiing (both water and snow), and watching his youngest son play competitive baseball, among other sports. Dave is also a huge Royals fan, which you will notice when you meet him in the office.

Graduated from Rolla High School in 2000. Amy’s dad was a framing carpenter and her dream growing up was to help him frame houses. Her fear of heights, however, forced her to look at alternative career paths. She enrolled in a cabinet making and design course at a local trade school and fell in love with it. She went to work for Smithville Cabinet Company in 2002 working in the shop, later moving into the office doing purchasing and design work. In 2010 she became part of the Miller’s Team working in everything from purchasing to design, and bidding. In the last few years, Amy has been doing her own sales as well as teaming up with Dana to help him keep up with his customers. Together they handle several of our larger customers. Amy has a great eye for design and tends to have a little more contemporary flare than most of the rest of our staff which makes her a great fit for customers wanting a more modern style. Outside of work Amy enjoys time with her family and friends, wine tasting, camping, motorcycle riding, and yard work.

Hallie graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 2011. She spent a few years in college trying to figure out what she wanted to do as a career. In 2014 she joined the Miller team and has spent the last several years becoming an indispensable part of the company. Hallie’s responsibilities are varied, she takes care of a large part of our purchasing, answers phones, greets customers, and gets them pointed in the right direction, prepares and approves payables. In short, she is Michelle’s right arm and together they keep everything flowing in and out of the company as it is supposed to. Outside of work, Hallie enjoys running, training for half marathons, building Lego sets, crafting, going to concerts, and snuggling her dog and two cats.

Ethan graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 2020. Ethan grew up around the cabinet shop.  After graduating he spent a year at a car dealership, gaining valuable business and sales experience. He then decided it was time to come back and work alongside the family,  joining his father in the sales department.  Outside the office Ethan enjoys riding dirt bikes, rock crawling in his jeep and spending time with his friends and family especially his daughter and his dog Steve.

Dalton graduated from Lawson High School in 2019 and then began business school at Park University in 2019 while working as a pharmacy technician. Danny Miller talked Dalton into working at Miller’s in 2020. Dalton grew up being close family friends with the Miller family and spent many vacations and trips with them jeeping and off-roading. Dalton started at Miller’s in the build department and then transitioned to the install crew finally making his way into sales as an intern while still completing his degree at Park University. For a little over a year, Dalton worked as an intern under Dana, learning sales and design, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Park University with a Business Administration degree. After graduation, Dalton transitioned into an autonomous Salesman. Outside of work, Dalton enjoys competitive fishing, deer and waterfowl hunting, dirt-bike riding, and golfing, to name a few of his hobbies.

Miranda graduated Lawson High School in 2018. She then went to study entrepreneurship at Missouri State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022. Being Danny and Michelle’s oldest daughter, she grew up around the company.  She even tried to fire CJ multiple times when she was about 4 years old (good thing no one listened) because he called her a “butthead”. During the summer after her junior year of college, she shadowed Amy on the sales team to learn and make sure the position would be a good fit for her and loved it. After graduating college, she spent a year under David and Dana training to become an autonomous member of the sales team. Outside of work Miranda enjoys team roping, hiking, skiing, and traveling.

Jerry graduated from Lawson High School in 2006. Jerry has worked in and around the construction industry for 20+ years. He started with the install crew at Miller’s in 2009 and has worked his way up to being the install and service manager. Outside of work Jerry enjoys coaching youth sports for his kids including baseball, wrestling and football.
