Our History
In 1986, brothers Dean and Danny Miller founded Miller’s Custom Cabinets as a two-man custom cabinet shop in Knoxville, MO.
Within a few years, the company grew and relocated to Excelsior Springs, and in 1993 we built a new facility. We’ve always operated on the basic philosophy of treating our customers like family and exceeding expectations.
Even though Dean left the company, Miller’s Custom Cabinets continues to be a local, family-owned company. Throughout the years, our dedication to the people in the Kansas City metro area has allowed us to continue to add on to our facility three times.
In 2002, the Miller family opened our sister company, Signature Solid Surfaces, which is a state-of-the-art fabrication business.
Fifteen years later, we built a new 18,000 sq ft facility to keep up with Signature Solid Surface’s continuous growth.

Now 2020
After 34 years in the business, we still really enjoy what we do, the people we work for, and the people we work with.
Now with around 80 dedicated employees, we’re planning a new facility that will be twice the size of our current one to help us streamline our production process, add showroom space, and allow our family business to keep growing.
